I. appearance A large and overpowering looking tom cat, he has piercing green eyes and spotted markings on his whole body, which he gets his name from. Long legged with powerful muscles, tail longer than most cats which helps to keep his balance when running or fighting. A piece of one of his ears is missing and he has quite a bit of patches on his fur, though mostly covered up it is noticeable if groomed by someone.
ii. personality A tough leader that holds great pride in everything he does for his clan. He doesn't really know the meaning in humility and goes to great lengths to show what he would do to make sure his whole clan in well fed and provided for, he believes his clan is above the others though is wise enough to keep this opinion to only his clan instead of shoving it in the other leaders faces.
He is wise but can still be a little naive at times, but he means good and his clan will never have to worry about him putting another before them because his loyalties lie strictly with WindClan and StarClan as he is an avid believer in both. His stubborn streak can end up badly for him, as he will refuse to ask other clans for help unless his Deputy or Medicine cat suggest it.
Hunting, running, and fighting are what he is best at for his clan. Being a leader is at times detrimental to doing those but during hard times he will go out and hunt in a group and in a fight he will always be there to help out. He is active in his Clanmates lives and will strive to hear all news and watch over apprentices training, it will be hard to get him to stay away from new kits and he will never put off naming apprentices or warriors.
All in all he is a good, loyal leader but his stubborn pride and ego might get him and his clan into trouble some day, hopefully with time he will calm down and become wiser in his age.
iii. family N/A
iv. history He started off being born and the first thing his mother noticed was his spotted coat, which got him the name Spottedkit, he had the makings of a good runner already, a perfect member of Windclan if there ever was one. As a kit he left the nursery more times than he could count and often tried to leave the camp when he would see the warriors go off to hunt or make themselves useful to the camp, he always wanted to be like them and his apprentice ceremony could not come sooner!
All he can clearly remember even to this day is the bouncing excitement and joy he felt, unable to stay still for very long and even though his mother attempted to groom him like is tradition to do for any young kit about to become an apprentice he was much more interested in running around the camp and asking who would be his mentor, of course no one would dare tell, it was supposed to be a surprise after all and by the end of the day he got his mentor and his new name, Spottedpaw.
Over the next several months of training, Spottedpaw was doing well, already shaping up to be exactly what he was supposed to be, the perfect warrior for WindClan. It was here that his ego really boosted, he was the best of the apprentices, he was faster, he was the better fighter, and because of his speed and strength he was the best at chasing down those rabbits. He wasn't very liked by his fellow apprentices but he didn't need friends, he simply had their respect and it was a trait that would follow him as he got his warrior name, Spottedclaw, and as he went on to prove his loyalty time after time in hard times and fights, proving himself to have WindClan's best interest and so being named Deputy. He was never the most liked, but he had his clans utmost respect which did nothing to calm his ever growing ego.
Being named Leader was the last step, and getting his nine lives the biggest proof of his loyalty to the Clan. He has yet to lose any lives.
iv. roleplay sample
Paw steps were light, the grass barely moving as the brown, fur covered pads slid forward as though he were a fish in water. Green eyes staring, intense and focused and for a split second he was frozen there, unable to move. The rabbit ahead seemed to tense, unable to see him through the discolored tall grass but it seemed to sense the danger, feel it in the bones. The two creatures, predator and prey were on the same page, the same level and they made eye contact, beady black eyes staring right at clear, large green ones. Like lighting they were off, as if a signal had flared up and shot like a bang. Spottedstar moved like the wind, he felt as light as a feather, claws extended and digging into the earth to help propel him forward, closer and closer towards the prey who was quickly becoming panicked. He felt like the famed LeopardClan, able to move as quick as the wind and hunt like nothing could ever stop him. And though these were his wild thoughts, Spottedstar kept the excitement at bay, the rush was taking over but he wouldn't lose focus, he couldn't. This rabbit would help feed his clan in this time of need and he would not fall victim to his own thoughts and let this creature slip away!
One step, two, he was closing in and the rabbit was zigzagging now, but Spottedstar as been doing this for too long to be fooled by such a trick, the rabbit would try and make him turn and lose this speed but he wouldn't turn until the rabbit-there! The rabbit made a sharp turn, skidding a little and tripping up in it's haste, one bad mistake and the lean tom cat sharply turned, rushing and pouncing, biting into the soft skin. With that one harsh bite the chase was done, his heart rate slowed and he lifted the large rabbit, looking pleased with his find. He headed towards where his hunting patrol had agreed to meet, dropping it and patiently waiting, long tail wrapping fully around his legs. The proud leader sat, straight and patient as he hoped that his other warriors would find something just as good. For what felt like ages the Leader waited, until the patrol arrived back, some carrying small rabbits and even a field mouse but none came to him without having caught something and this erupted a loud purr from the leader.
"This was a successful hunt, not that I would expect anything less from my Clanmates."
He purred out, his praise high and rewarding as he scooped up his rabbit and headed back towards camp, no doubt his presence in the party caused them to work a little harder, to try and impress him and that was one reason why he always enjoyed going on the occasional hunt with his clan, it made them work harder-not that he doubted they didn't always work hard but he was the type of leader that knew when he was needed and with less food going around in this year his hunting patrols needed much more push than they normally did. Spottedstar dropped the fresh kill in the new pile about to form and left towards his den, not even bothering to pick up anything to eat, after all he should eat last, the Elders and Queens needed it more than he did. The large tom stretched, yawning and relaxing, looking over his clan with that ever growing feeling of pride. He belonged to the best clan out there.
He'd like to see anyone try and tell him different.
